Allen Elementary's Partners in Education (PIE) is the Hughston Orthopedic Hospital.

The Hughston Orthopedic Hospital adopted Allen Elementary on September 22, 2005. Employees from Hughston volunteer their time to work with Allen students monthly. They come to Allen on the third Friday of each month to give a Fantastic Friday workshop. Topics have included "Good Drug/Bad Drug", "Healthy Snacks", and "Dem Bones". Hughston has sent employees to evaluate the weight of students' book bags in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Hughston also sends employees once a month to read to the students in their classrooms. These are just a few of the activities and projects that Hughston provides for Allen.

CB&T Supports Fantastic Friday with Second Grade

Allen Elementary shows our gratitude for Hughston Orthopedic Hospital by participating in fundraisers and activities with the employees at the hospital. This year Allen's faculty and students raised over $1,000.00 for the Hughston Arthritis Walk. We also have a fifth grade class serving as pen pals with 24 employees at Hughston.
